Earth Mom By Laws – For Individuals & Professionals:
As part of joining and becoming an Earth Mom, we ask each of our members to lead by example within their own sphere of influence by first adopting lifelong "Eco-friendly" habits. With millions of members acting in concert in a consistent, responsible manner, we stand a chance of effecting real, long lasting change in the way we respect our environment.
Having your name added as an active Earth Mom member means you are committed to taking the following action(s):
- Becoming knowledgeable on the many issues and challenges facing our planet. Several topics and links are provided for you under our Education heading to help get you started. Of
the many issues facing our planet, pick the one most of interest to you
and work toward becoming a foremost expert. Extra Credit: When
adequately armed with information, either join an existing committee or
head up a new committee devoted to resolving the issue. Use your new
found expertise to help us expand our knowledge base and keep our
members informed. Earn extra marks when you submit related news stories
or write articles to help keep our other members informed.
- Implement "Eco-Friendly" practices whenever possible within your own
household. Part of helping our organization make a difference is by
maximizing your personal Eco-Friendly practices. Review each of the
related checklists for tips and information on reducing or hopefully one
day eliminating your personal and household environmental footprint.
- Introduce friends, family and especially your kids, to your vision of how as a responsible organization, we plan to hand down a pristine global environment to future generations. Most people naturally want to do what's right by the environment so don't feel you have to sell or push our organization off on anyone. If for some reason they happen to take exception to our organization, encourage them to join another more to their liking. The whole point is for every earthly inhabitant to take responsibility in some way toward helping preserve our beautiful planet.
- Discuss implementing Eco-Friendly measures into your place of employment. Point out the massive benefits of joining our organization and becoming a valued business within your local community that our fast growing membership will be proud to patronize. Consider volunteering for any auditing or verification committees established by your employer.
- To learn to use the Laws of Supply and Demand and Natural Selection to help alter the behavior of all business entities by patronizing only those entities that outwardly share our global commitment to the environment.
Our mantra is to effect change solely in a structured, long lasting,
passive manner through our concerted global efforts to educate, inspire accountability and take responsible action.
As an active Earth Mom member, each member is committed to:
- Being honest and forthright in all your dealings, interpretations and representations involving your capacity as an Earth Mom members.
- Welcoming all new members regardless or race, religion, color,
ethnic origin or political affiliation into our organization by openly
recognizing that we all share the same air, water, earth and ultimately
the same responsibility for protecting our planet. As Earth Mom
members, we are 100% united in our commitment to the environment.
- To
passively introduce your community, politicians and local business
entities to the tenets of our organization. Explain how we embrace the
law of natural selection to reward businesses and encourage them to
continually find ways to improve their impact on the environment in
return for enjoying the many positive benefits our millions of members
have to offer. Explain how we support politicians who are willing to
make our same commitment to the environment.
- Avoiding any activities where you participate in or are encouraged to participate in the intentional postings of falsehoods about another member, professional, business entity or Earth Mom as an organization. Intentionally bending or spinning the truth for personal or corporate gain or outright lying about your self interests, an entity you represent, a competing entity or bear false witness in general, is cause for permanent expulsion as an Earth Mom member.
- Always employ passive, non-aggressive, positive reinforcement when representing our organization. In our case, less is more. Our goal is to successfully obtain results over the long term by applying our collective buying power in such a fashion as to sway the behavior of some of the most powerful corporations on the planet.
- Always avoid the use of anger, threats, controversy, sit-ins, chain-ins, protests, disruptions or violence of any kind in our name.
- Refrain from displaying our brand on your shirt or clothing if you happen to participate in activities while belonging to one or more environmental movements that tend to employ radical, media-seeking tactics. Having you arrested while wearing our brand or representing our organization would be considered extremely counterproductive to everything we stand for and the exact opposite of caliber of attention we seek. Violation of this policy means instant and permanent expulsion from our organization.
- To refrain from employing the use of mass e-mail blasts, spam, bulk fax, phone call blasts, etc., in any attempt to create awareness on behalf of our organization. We are a grass-roots organization committed solely to slow intentional, planned growth. You are welcome to take advantage of any existing e-mail bases consisting of family, friends and existing close business associates. We would never encourage members to take advantage of any e-mail lists that may be available as a result of your employment or personal affiliation within any organization.
- To refrain from advertising your Earth Mom affiliation as a means of generating personal business exposure, except in approved manners as outlined herein.
- To refrain from intentionally painting any other Earth Mom member or entity in an unfair, unfavorable environmental light for personal or corporate gain. We have procedures and policies in place to insure every entity is given an opportunity to improve their practices before we ask our members to patronize the products of their competitors. Interfering with our processes by creating and spreading unfounded rumors only serves to degrade our credibility as a global organization.
Please be sure you agree wholeheartedly with our by-laws before representing your involvement in EarthMom.org out to the world. It only takes one member acting rashly to undo the work of thousands who care deeply about seeing that our cause remains a viable and effective means of change.
